Set within a pretty village in the Gower Peninsular, the first designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Britain, the property benefits by being on the local footpaths network and local bus route, with regular services to Swansea. Within easy walking distance of the property are two village pubs, The Joiners Arms and The Poundffald Inn both of which serve food, a local shop, a football field and two well equipped play areas. The Gower Golf Club and Restaurant is a mile away while the magnificent Gower beaches and vibrant Mumbles are all just a short drive. The other Gower golf courses of Fairwood, Pennard, Langland and Clyne are all within 20 minutes drive. The City of Swansea is home to one of Wales' regional rugby teams, The Ospreys, Swansea City Football Club and a recently completed indoor Olympic swimming pool. The Maritime Quarter has several museums and a modern Leisure Centre including a large fun pool. The city is the birthplace of Dylan Thomas, one of Wales most famous writers, and is home to The Dylan Thomas Visitors Centre, The Grand Theatre, several cinemas and a modern shopping centre (boasting the largest indoor market in Wales). These are all just 5 miles away while the Brecon Beacons, Pembrokeshire and Cardiff are all about an hour's travelling by car. Swansea's Wind Street is locally well known for its night life and its many bars and restaurants. This street is pedestrianised on Friday and Saturday evenings.
